Verbier
A high Alpine village in Valais, Switzerland, and the gateway to the 4 Vallées ski area, known for its expert and off-piste terrain.
Verbier is a village of chalets on a south-facing terrace above the Val de Bagnes in the Swiss canton of Valais, at about 1,500 meters. It is the largest resort in the 4 Vallées, a linked ski area with 410 kilometers of runs and freeride routes that reaches 3,330 meters at Mont Fort. The resort’s reputation rests on its advanced and off-piste terrain, but it also has dedicated beginner areas and long intermediate runs.
Most visitors arrive through Geneva, by road or by train to Le Châble in the valley, where a gondola climbs to the village.
